Virtually every NFL team needs a franchise quarterback to find success–but not all teams go about finding that franchise quarterback the same way. Some draft them early, often (looking at you Cleveland). Some acquire other team’s former first round picks. And a few…well, a few have seemingly long since made a conscious decision not to draft a QB early, with one team not spending a first round pick on a quarterback since 1971–seven years before I was even born.
